FATE'S AWAKE
Members:
Vocals: Joseph Maiville Bass: Todd Yourkiewicz
Drums: Cody Jones Guitarist: Jeff Schubert
Todd and Cody had been playing together for about 3 to 4 years, but it was never more than jamming out and a dream! They had a plan too, and before too long that plan would start taking shape (2009). Todd had met this dude who shall remain Nameless and the too just clicked, you could say they had met their musical soul mates. Thus the birth of the band known as Fate's Awake! Todd on bass, Cody on drums, another friend on guitars and The Nameless One on... piano! The and in just a short couple of months, the music was great. But as everyone knows... "Shit Happens!"
The band had to retool! The Nameless One, with the prodding of band mates Todd and Cody, stepped away from the ivory keys and became the bands vocalist. The music got better and they suddenly became better friends and a better group all around. They thought soon, they'd be getting somewhere. Finally after a year, they got a smidgen or a taste of what's to come, they were going to be signed by Right Side Media Productions. And SHIT hit the wall! Fate's Awake was still a band, however they lost a valuable member of the family, but thanks to the love of music, the band will go on! Now the band still needed a guitarist. Enter a man named Jeff!
Well, additional problems occured and a new vocalist was needed. Joe Maiville came on the scene and Fate's Awake has been born anew! An Lp Due to be released at the end of Summer / Beginning of Fall entitled G. D. S. O. B. with a CD Release tour of the local Lorain / Cleveland area and then they're off.
These four are here to give your ear holes what they crave!

Instrument: "I picked up the drums around middle school, it was the only thing that seemed like me... it was complicated, don't get me wrong, f@%#... I just finally got the double bass pedal down. The drums... it's the beat, it's the stuff that makes you wanna drop the person next to you. Without drums, there's no beat to the song!"

AS I GREW INTO MY OWN MUSIC TASTE, THOSE NEVER LEFT, BUT I BEGAN LEANING TOWARDS THE PUNK SIDE OF THE COIN. ONE OF MY FRIEND'S OLDER BROTHERS HANDED ME NOFX'S RECORD PUNK IN DRUBLIC WHEN I WAS IN 6TH GRADE, AND I INSTANTLY FELL IN LOVE. NOFX, GREEN DAY, THE MISFITS, THE BOUNCING SOULS, ANTI-FLAG, BAD RELIGION, MINOR THREAT, SCREAM, SOCIAL DISTORTION AND THE DEAD KENNEDYS (TO NAME A FEW) GRADUALLY STARTED TO WEAVE THEIR WAY INTO THE WAY I PLAY GUITAR, AND I STARTED MY FIRST BAND, THE STREET CORNER PROPHETS. DURING THAT BAND'S TENURE, AND AFTER WE CALLED IT QUITS, I STARTED LISTENTING TO STUFF THAT WAS A BIT HEAVIER. JUDAS PRIEST, MEGADETH, DETHKLOK, THE MELVINS, THE SWORD, MR. BUNGLE, THE DEFTONES, SLAYER, DIMMU BORGIR AND SLAYER BEGAN TO MAKE THEIR WAY INTO MY REGULAR PLAYLISTS.
I GENERALLY DO WHAT I DO FOR ONE REASON: IT'S FUN. PRETTY EASY. IF IT'S NOT SOMETHING I WANT TO HAVE FUN WITH, IT'S NOT WORTH MY TIME.
